Survivorship Program

The Foundation’s survivorship program provides tools to help with the communication and coordination of care after treatment ends. During the last week of treatment, every Bismarck Cancer Center patient meets with a survivorship nurse who provides a comprehensive follow-up and survivorship care map individualized for each patient. The plan includes a written treatment summary, a recommended follow-up schedule, a list of short and long term side effects of the disease and treatments, a description of what to look for regarding re-occurrence, a chronological list of events in their cancer journey, and a list of various support systems within their community.
