Equine Therapy

Equine therapy has proven helpful for cancer patients because horses are naturally social animals that welcome a special bond with individuals. Once that connection is formed, it can provide great comfort to the cancer survivor, giving them a much-needed escape during or after the trauma of fighting cancer.

The Bismarck Cancer Center’s equine therapy program will be held at the TR 4 Heart and Soul Riding Arena located southeast of Bismarck. The equine therapy classes will be free to survivors and a guest. To register for a session, contact the Cancer Center at 701-222-6100 or TR4 Heart and Soul at 701-367-6136 or email: katie.oakland@live.com.

(*Participants must be at least 4 years old of age and under 210 lbs. Helmets are provided and required.)

TR 4 Heart and Soul, 501c3 non-profit corporation, seeks to improve the quality of life, both physically and emotionally of adults and children with disabilities, learning, speech, and behavioral challenges through the heart and soul of a horse utilizing therapeutic riding.
