The Bismarck Cancer Center (BCC), a state-of-the-art, freestanding radiation treatment facility located in Bismarck, North Dakota, is thrilled to enhance our team of healthcare providers! We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP), welcoming applications from Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. Join our team of expert physicians, dedicated nurses, and supportive staff where you’ll be a significant part of the continuum of cancer care, from diagnosis through survivorship.

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the APP will play an integral role in the Radiation Oncology Department, working in close partnership with the attending Radiation Oncologist(s) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. This position functions as a Physician Extender, enhancing clinical efficiency, documentation accuracy, and continuity of care across the patient journey. Responsibilities include collaborating directly with the physician during consultations, follow-ups, and on-treatment visits to ensure complete and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR), assisting with history-taking, medication reconciliation, and review of systems (ROS), placing orders for imaging, labs, medications, and other clinically indicated services, and completing all necessary preparatory work for patient appointments to support efficient, high-quality patient care. In addition to documentation support, the APP will provide occasional independent patient care while ensuring personalized, seamless, and continuous follow-up care for oncology patients throughout their cancer journey.

Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistance program. Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of North Dakota required. Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances required. CPR certification required within six weeks of employment, with re-certification as required. Radiation Oncology Certification required within 24 months of full- or part-time employment. Must obtain and subsequently maintain required department specific competencies and certifications. Experience in oncology, palliative care, or a related healthcare field preferred but not required.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.
