Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

The Bismarck Cancer Center is thrilled to enhance our compassionate team of healthcare providers! We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP), welcoming applications from Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. Join our team of expert physicians, dedicated nurses, and supportive staff where you’ll be a significant part of the continuum of cancer care, from diagnosis through survivorship.   The Bismarck Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art Radiation Oncology facility that provides radiation therapy services to a large service area including central ND, eastern MT, and northern SD.  As an APP at the Bismarck Cancer Center, you will deliver services in an outpatient setting and independently manage and provide follow-up with patients, ensuring personalized, seamless, and continuous care throughout their cancer journey. You will gather comprehensive medical histories from patients, perform examinations to determine patient needs, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop appropriate medical plans. The role emphasizes the importance of follow-up care, care coordination and navigation, working both collaboratively with providers and independently to deliver care. Additional responsibilities include referring patients to specialists when needed, counseling patients and families on self-management, and covering hospital in-patient consultations at CHI St. Alexius and Sanford Health Bismarck. The APP will integrate evidence-based practice guidelines into their care, stay updated on state legal regulations and reimbursement systems, and demonstrate extensive knowledge of medical principles, practices, and techniques. Education:  Must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistance program.  Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of North Dakota. Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances. CPR certification required within six weeks of employment and ACLS certification required within four months of employment.  Experience in oncology, palliative care or a related healthcare field preferred but not required.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.
