Tarek A. Dufan, MD - Radiation OncologistDr Dufan joined the Bismarck Cancer Center in June 2009. He is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology and a Fellow of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. As a Radiation Oncologist, Dr Dufan specializes in the treatment of patients with cancer.
Dr Dufan earned his medical degree at the University of Tripoli in Libya, and then fulfilled an internship at Cancer Care Manitoba. He completed a residency in radiation oncology at the University of Manitoba and fellowships in Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) at the University of Manitoba, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN and MD Anderson, Houston, TX.
Dr Dufan is an active member of the American Society of Brachytherapy, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology, University of North Dakota, Bismarck campus.
Dr Dufan has special interests in the treatment of Stereotactic Radiosurgery, Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy, High Dose Rate Brachytherapy and Prostate Brachytherapy. Dr Dufan accepts all cases including: gynecology, pediatrics, breast, prostate, lung, gastric, bladder, bone, pancreatic, colorectal, head/neck, lymphoma malignancy, sarcoma, brain and metastatic disease.
